Visit
of Pope Benedict
XVI:
The Holy Father
has asked us
to pray that
his visit “will
be a time of
grace for the
whole Catholic
community”.
There are still
plenty of prayer
cards available
at the back
of church for
you to take
home. There
are still some
copies of the
booklet “Heart
Speaks Unto
Heart”
available –
there is no
charge for these.
During the Eucharistic
Prayer of each
Mass that is
said in church,
we pray for
the Holy Father
and for the
Church –
at this time
our intention
should be that
his visit to
our country
will be “a
time of grace”
not only for
the Church community
but for the
whole country
and also for
ourselves as
individuals.
Annual
Fair (Sunday,
November 21st)
Preparations
Nadia Lamb and
the ‘jam-making
team’
are looking
for appropriate
jars for their
produce. If
you can help
please leave
the jars in
the box at the
back of church.
Many thanks.
Examination
Results
I am well aware
that there is
much good news
around from
both A level
and GCSE –
success for
the young people,
resulting from
their own hard
work of course,
but well supported
by their parents
and teachers.
Congratulations
to all and every
good wish for
the next stage.
(Nice to see
Sophie and Tom
pictured in
the paper!)
Please keep
our young people
and their families
in your prayers

Parish
Hymn Books.
From time to
time we replenish
our stock of
parish hymn
books. If you
would like to
dedicate a hymn
book to a loved
one who has
died, we are
able to do this
by putting a
dedication in
the front of
the book. If
you wish to
remember someone
in this way
just ask Father
Francis or Pat
Cohen. A donation
of five pounds
goes towards
the cost of
the hymn book.
