Diary Dates - 2012

*Thursdays (until 23rd February): A series of meetings on Medjugorje at St Wilfrid’s, Northwhich.
Sunday, 5th February: Catechists’ Formation Session: 2.00pm – 5.00pm in St Paul’s Community Rooms, Marley Road, Poynton, SK12 1LY. “Becoming Confident Catechists”. This meeting will benefit both experienced and aspiring catechists.
Saturday 11th February: A Celebration of Married Life – 2.00pm at St Wilfrid’s, Northwich - Mass celebrated by Bishop Mark Davies. Everyone Welcome. Refreshments to follow in Parish Centre.
*Tuesday, 21st February: ‘Encounters!’ Meeting for Catechists. St Edwards, Macclesfield (7.30pm).
Wednesday, 22nd February: The Confirmation preparation programme will begin with a meeting for parents at 7.00pm (Parish Hall).
Wednesday, 29th February: “War on War” – Bruce Kent will speak and lead a discussion, beginning at 7.30pm, in the Romero Centre at All Hallows Catholic College (SK11 8LB).

*Saturday, March 10th: The Uses of Scripture in Catholic Prayer, Practice and Theology – a Study Day for Clergy, Laity and Students of Theology (Durham University – Centre for Catholic Studies).
*Saturday, 10th March: Course for new Leaders of ‘Little Church’- St Mary’s, Middlewich (10.00).
Wednesday, 14th March:The First Communion preparation programme is now well underway – The next meeting for parents will be at 8.00pm (Parish Hall).

THE 50TH INTERNATIONAL EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS – Notice from Fr Pat Munroe
This will take place in Dublin, 10th – 17th June 2012. The theme chosen by Pope Benedict is “The Eucharist Communion with Christ and with one another”. The Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales have expressed a wish that the Church in our country support the Church in Ireland by participating in some part or all of this special event. If you are interested in going as a Parish /LPA group contact your Parish Priest or Fr Pat Munroe on pat.munroe@btinternet.com, delegate for Shrewsbury Diocese.
