This
weekend
we welcome Fr
Martin Coyle,
our Salesian
Provincial,
who will preside
at each Mass.
CONFIRMATION
AND OTHER SACRAMENTAL
PREPARATION
PROGRAMMES The
First Communion
preparation
programme is
now well underway
– The
next meeting
for parents
will be on Wednesday,
14th March at
8.00pm (Parish
Hall).
The children
have had their
first experience
of the Sacrament
of Reconciliation
and are continuing
with their preparation
at home and
either in school
or with the
parish catechist.
Each child has
been allocated
a parish prayer
sponsor. The
Confirmation
preparation
programme will
begin with a
meeting for
parents on Wednesday,
22nd February
at 7.00pm (Parish
Hall).
A letter of
invitation will
be sent to each
young person
whom we have
identified as
a potential
candidate. Should
our lists not
be up to date
– please
don’t
hesitate to
get in touch.
Should there
be any adults
in our parish
community of
families who
would like to
know more about
their Catholic
faith, to become
a full member
of St Gregory’s
Catholic Community
or to explore
the possibility
of receiving
the Sacraments
that they may
have ‘missed’
Fr Francis would
be very grateful
for the opportunity
of (initially)
a brief conversation
with them to
discuss the
options that
might be available.
Between now
and Easter is
an ideal time
for prayer,
reflection and
re-thinking
(from both sides)
what may be
some old difficulties.
Depending on
circumstances,
it may be possible
and appropriate
to deal with
either individuals
or small groups.
(Frequently,
it is not really
convenient to
speak of important
matters either
before or after
Mass, so please
don’t
hesitate to
phone 572108).

Parish
Hymn Books.
From time to
time we replenish
our stock of
parish hymn
books. If you
would like to
dedicate a hymn
book to a loved
one who has
died, we are
able to do this
by putting a
dedication in
the front of
the book. If
you wish to
remember someone
in this way
just ask Father
Francis or Pat
Cohen. A donation
of five pounds
goes towards
the cost of
the hymn book.
